Focus still on both drivers says Ferrari

(GMM) Ferrari's sporting director insisted after qualifying at Spa-Francorchamps that the team is not now favouring a single driver for the last four grands prix of 2007.

Felipe Massa's retirement at Monza a week ago leaves Kimi Raikkonen clearly the highest placed Ferrari driver, but still 18 points away from Lewis Hamilton's lead.

After Raikkonen scored pole position ahead of Massa on Saturday, Stefano Domenicali was asked if Ferrari was now putting its eggs into the Finn's basket.

"No, we are concentrating on both drivers," he told German television.

Domenicali did admit, however, that it is crucial that Ferrari dominate Sunday's Belgian grand prix, with the locked-out front row being "a good basis".

"And of course we need an attacking strategy, because we clearly need to close the points gap."

Raikkonen's Australian race engineer, Chris Dyer, sounded cautious: "We are first and second, but we are only talking about a tenth of a second. It is close.

"We also do not know who has what level of fuel on board, so we have to wait until tomorrow," he said in Belgium.
