Fire at Toyota F1 factory

(GMM) The fire department in Cologne on Wednesday was summoned to put out a fire at Toyota's formula one factory.

According to local reports, an engine test stand – connected to a current 2.4-litre V8 power plant – caught fire for unknown reasons.

Toyota's fire alarm system automatically alerted the local fire department, and the blaze had been extinguished also by the team's own systems by the time they arrived.

The fire did not cause significant damage.
