McNish wins ALMS pole

Allan McNish put his Audi TDI diesel car on pole for Saturday's Generac GP ALMS race qualifying over 2 seconds per lap faster than his pole last year. Audi teammate Marco Werner will start 2nd ahead of the LMP2 Penske Porsche duo of Dumas and Briscoe. Jan Magnussen won the GT1 pole for Corvette and Jaime Melo the GT2 pole for Ferrari. Three of the four classes set new lap records in winning the pole.
