Bernie to sell classic car collection

F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone is selling 50 of the world's rarest cars from his own personal collection. RM Auctions – which is handling the sale in October – has the listed the lots and highlights include a 1955 Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing and a 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster, now thought to be worth £3.25million. There is also a rather more modest Ford Anglia, too. A spokesman for RM Auctions said: "The collection, built up over decades of careful acquisition, is composed of a variety of automobiles that represent many marques and eras. This auction marks what will be the first and only public exhibition of the Ecclestone Collection." Reuters
