Dennis suggests end to spy row exchange

Ron Dennis has called for an end to the tit-for-tat public row with Ferrari and its supporters amid the scandalous espionage saga.

In yet another letter that has been also released to the press, the McLaren boss on Friday explained to Italian motor sport chief Luigi Macaluso that he only decided to publicly release the document because "your letter to me has been published".

"I suggest that we now leave this process to the internal consideration of the FIA," the Briton added.

Dennis' letter is the latest in an extraordinary and hostile exchange between the two teams, the FIA, and the Italian body ICA, following the decision of the World Motor Sport Council to not penalize McLaren for espionage.

Dennis also wrote to Macaluso: "We are not comfortable with any attempt to undermine the credibility of the decision of the WMSC by a misleading version or events portraying Ferrari as having had insufficient opportunity to present its case.

"It is not a case of an insufficient opportunity but just dissatisfaction with the outcome."
