Champ Car’s plans for standing start

In the paddock here in Portland the biggest complainer of the standing start remains the Newman/Haas/Lanigan team, we assume because they have no control or experience with them. Cosworth says they have two concerns 1) 45 seconds is the time the cars at the front of the grid can sit still while the rest of the grid lines up before overheating concerns, and 2) If a driver gets too much wheel spin and lifts off, the engine will stall for a couple of seconds until the computer resets. They will try 2 standing starts and if they don't work then a rolling start will be used.
