(GMM) Giancarlo Fisichella returned to action on Thursday afternoon after crashing his Renault at Ste Devote in the morning.

Mechanics for the Enstone based team did well to repair the damaged single seater in the break, which had careered into the tire barrier after Roman Fisichella clipped the inside of turn one.

STR's Vitantonio Liuzzi, meanwhile, had spent much of the morning session in the pits with an unspecified mechanical problem, it emerged.
