Michelin vows to sue the FIA

(GMM) Departed F1 tire supplier Michelin has announced that it has initiated "legal proceedings" against the sport's governing body, the FIA.

After pulling out of formula one in protest of the control tire rules for 2008, Michelin – through its BFGoodrich brand – then lost the recent World Rally tire tender to Pirelli.

In a statement on Monday, Michelin said it is requesting that the FIA's decision "be annulled due to irregularities in the tender process."
