Halliday to test with Conquest Racing

New Zealand's Matt Halliday, who is currently driving in A1GP, will test for Conquest Racing during the two-day test at Laguna Seca, the team announced on Wednesday. "I have good memories of my days with Conquest Racing when they were competing in Indy Lights in 2001 and I'm really excited about testing the DP01 car with them in Laguna Seca. It seems like a really fun car to drive," said Halliday.

"I can't thank Conquest Racing enough for giving me this opportunity and I hope it develops into a ride for the season."

"I'm delighted to be able to continue our relationship with Matt. He did a good job with us back in Indy Lights and I know that he has what it takes to do well in Champ Car," said team boss Eric Bachelart.

"He's a very talented driver and we're really happy to be testing him but we would like nothing more than to be able to work things out and keep him for the entire season."
