IndyCar to return to Watkins Glen

Indications are that Danica, the Andrettis and the rest of the IndyCar Series will be back at The Glen next year.

Watkins Glen International track president Craig Rust usually hesitates to make announcements about future Indy Racing League and NASCAR races until contracts are signed.

Not Sunday. Rust and an IRL official encouraged fans to come back next year during remarks before the Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen.

"We do not have a written agreement but there has been no indication that we would not," Rust said later. "I feel confident that we will be here next year on the July 4th weekend."

The Glen has hosted IndyCar races the last four seasons.
