Changes In Motorsports Calendar Help Boost SMI’s Q3 Revenue

SMI today reported a slight uptick in Q3 revenues thanks in part to changes in the motorsports calendar. Revenues were $139.8M, up from $137.5M in Q3 '13. During the period, New Hampshire Motor Speedway held one NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race that was not held in '13, while Texas Motor Speedway held a Red Bull Air Race World Championship event that was not held a year ago. Income from continuing operations was $9M, compared to $12.4M in the year-ago period.
