IndyCar: Final TV Rating for ‘100 Days to Indy’ Docuseries (Update)

–by Mark Cipolloni–

The ‘final’ TV numbers are in for the opening episode of 100 Days to Indy on CW Network.

Bad news for IndyCar – the final numbers dropped from the overnights.

Only 189,000 viewers tuned into the opening episode, down from the 206,000 on the overnights – a loss of 17,000 viewers.

The show was up against the NFL draft, so hopefully the numbers will be a bit better for episode 2 on Thursday, May 4th.

100 Days to Indy was left at the Starting Gate!

CW drew 206,000 viewers for the first episode of IndyCar’s new Docuseries “100 Days to Indy”

30,000 of the 206,000 viewers were in the all-important 18-49 year old age group, i.e. 14.5% – a horrible result indicating that 85.4% of the viewers were old people.

Perhaps the final numbers, when they are published, will be better.

For comparison, F1’s Drive to Survive Docuseries on Netflix averages over 5 million viewers per episode and a large percentage of them are in the 18-49 year old age group and women just love it.

Drive to Survive on Netflix moved the needle for F1.

100 Days to Indy on CW likely won’t move the needle for IndyCar because 95% of the viewers were already diehard IndyCar fans.

Perhaps over time that will change.
