IndyCar: Wednesday Morning Report for Indy 500 Open Test

Good morning from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.    All teams from the NTT INDYCAR SERIES are here to participate in the open test, almost a month before we start to work on race qualifications for the 108th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.

The skies are cloudy this morning after a night of rain. The safety trucks are running the track, and the jet dryers are out helping dry the surface.

The series, always ready to adapt, has moved up the time for practice to 9 a.m. instead of 11 a.m. this morning to try to get some track time in before more rain is expected this afternoon around 3 p.m.

Schedule for today’s open test.

9-9:05 am       Install Lap for all cars

9:05-11 am    Veterans on track

11 am-1 pm   Rookie Orientation and refresher

1-6:30 pm       All eligible participants on track
