TV News: Weekend USA Motorsports TV Viewers/TV Ratings

USA motorsports TV viewers for the major races broadcast in the USA last weekend.

NASCAR at Kansas

Fox TV averaged 2.926 million viewers for Sunday’s NASCAR AdventHealth 400 at Kansas, up 26% from last year’s comparable event that aired on FS1  (2.319 million).  That makes it the most watched spring race at Kansas since 2016, and it was 126% higher than the IndyCar race that followed, also on FOX TV.

The race was won by Tyler Reddick who took Kyle Larson to school in the last turn of the final lap.

CW drew 1.180 million viewers for the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts race at Kansas, up +12% compared to last year’s same weekend race from Rockingham. It was the most-watched Kansas NOAPS race in three years.

IndyCar at Long Beach

FOX drew 1.269 million TV viewers for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach IndyCar race last Sunday, up 130% over the 552,000 TV viewers last year when the event went up against the Masters golf tournament. It was the most watched Long Beach race since the 2008 merger.

The race peaked at 1.527 million viewers from 5:58pm to 6:00pm. Through 5 races IndyCar on FOX is averaging 1.239 million viewers, up 44% from 863,000 last year.
