Williams wanted Wurz for a reason

Our European sources tell us that the WilliamsF1 team tried hard to sign Alex Wurz because of the many miles of experience he has testing Michelin F1 tires for McLaren and Michelin. Neither of Williams regular drivers, Mark Webber or rookie Nico Rosberg have a lot of current Michelin experience and Williams wanted at least one driver (with a lot of Michelin test miles under their belt) on the now Bridgestone shod team to be able to compare how Bridgestone is stacking up with their new tires as they try to play catch-up to the French rubber.
