Daytona drops prices on least desirable seats

Daytona Int'l Speedway today announced a "significant price drop on a limited amount of tickets" for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Daytona 500 on February 15. About 4,000 seats in the backstretch grandstand, or Superstretch, will cost $55, down from $99. Speedway President Robin Braig said that '95 was the "last time the track offered a $55 ticket for the 500." Braig: "We're feeling the pressure of slow sales" Daytona Beach NEWS-JOURNAL
