Mosley to attend Italian GP in September

(GMM) Max Mosley has scheduled to attend the Italian grand prix in mid-September.

The FIA president has been embroiled in a sex scandal so far this season, and had to cancel his planned visit to the race in Bahrain in April.

He then made an ultra low-key and unofficial visit to the Monaco grand prix, where he declined to speak to the media and only fleetingly dashed across the paddock in between meetings.

At a press briefing in Monaco this week, the 68-year-old said his focus had now returned to his job, after the High Court victory against the News of the World, and his instructions to his lawyers to begin proceedings against other European outlets.

But asked what his next movements will be prior to heading to Monza for the formula one race there, Mosley smiled: "I'm going to take most of August off."
