Earnhardt’s car damaged after qualifying
Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s pole-winning car was involved in a minor collision with a track vehicle following post-qualifying inspection at Pocono Raceway Friday.
Crew chief Tony Eury Jr. said that Earnhardt Jr.'s crew was pushing the car off the scales and down a ramp when medical personnel stopped their Gator vehicle directly in front of the car. The vehicles collided, and Earnhardt's car sustained front-end damage. "It hit pretty good," crew chief Tony Eury Jr. said. "It smashed the nose back. It had a Gator tire print in it."
