Indy 500 could be hit with rain

Forecasters are calling for a 70 percent chance of rain today and Sunday, but they aren't ready to predict a washout for the IRL 500 Festival Parade or the race. Scattered showers and thunderstorms, most likely in the afternoon, are in the National Weather Service forecast for both days.

"It's all going to come down to timing and location," said Steve Haines, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis. It doesn't look like one of those situations either day where it's going to be a lousy, rainy day all day."
