British team dominates for British race

In a very NASCAR-like fashion to sell tickets, the British A1GP team continued to top practice at Brands Hatch Saturday morning for this next to last round of the 2006-2007 A1GP season.

Robbie Kerr reckoned there was still time to be found in the A1 Team Great Britain car – despite his staggering pace in free practice at Brands Hatch Friday. And n Saturday morning he proved just that.

“It does make me feel quite confident," Kerr told A1GP.com, “but I know we could have gone quicker out there. On my quickest lap I was put out on the dirt by someone else by a car coming into the pitlane while I was coming through Clearways.

“Unfortunately he wasn’t looking in his mirrors and he lost us a lot of time. We could have gone quicker. It will be interesting to see what we could do over the weekend. There is more pace in the car and there is more pace in me."
