Steve Wallace nabs Busch pole

Steve Wallace won the pole for the Sharpie Mini 300 Busch Series race at Bristol with a lap of 125.387 mph in the Rusty Wallace Inc. No. 66 Dodge.

Wallace edged Ryan Newman at 125.020. Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway Racing) was third at 124.995, with Clint Bowyer (Richard Childress Racing) fourth at 124.963 and Bobby Labonte at 124.816. Saturday's race is slated to start at 3 p.m. EDT. All 43 cars attempting qualifying runs made the race.
