Aussie race draws 72.5K on Friday

A crowd of 72,500 saw Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen keep Ferrari ahead of the chasing pack as the world’s elite drivers took to the track on day two of the 2007 FORMULA 1™ ING Australian Grand Prix.

“It’s fantastic to have the season under way," said Australian Grand Prix Corporation CEO Tim Bamford.

“The excitement is building ahead of Sunday’s race, and today’s on-track action certainly underlined the value of the new-look Friday with its extended Formula One practice sessions. We’re delighted with the way the event is taking shape."
