Michigan race picks up title sponsor
The strategic alliance between MIS and Citizens Bank, a subsidiary of Citizens Republic Bancorp, also makes Citizens Bank the “Official Bank of Michigan International Speedway" in 2007.
“We’re proud to have one of the largest banking corporations in the state of Michigan sponsor our NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race on Father’s Day," Michigan International Speedway President Roger Curtis said. “It’s only fitting that they are teaming up with the largest sporting event in the state. The bonus for us and for race fans is that they are Michigan-based and have numerous locations throughout Michigan, including MIS’ hometown of Brooklyn."
Citizens Bank will have in-market, promotional rights and benefits for the June NEXTEL Cup Series weekend, as well as premium signage around the MIS property during the campaign.
