Toyota moving forward with N.C. land purchase

Toyota Motorsports officials say the company will move forward with plans to buy 89 acres in Rowan County, N.C., northeast of Charlotte. Toyota plans to build a 30,000-35,000-square-foot facility that will house Toyota Racing Development USA Inc. and a chassis engineering operation. "We expect to finalize the purchase within the next 30 days," TRD President Jim Aust said.
