NASCAR: Trackhouse not entering Project 91 entry into Daytona 500

Justin Marks, team owner of Trackhouse Racing, confirmed on Twitter that the team will not enter its Project91 car into this year’s Daytona 500. Rather, he wants to put the team’s emphasis on the cars for Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez.

In a program that was announced last May to inject racecar drivers from all around the world into NASCAR for one-off races, the Project91 entry has competed in just one race. Last August, Kimi Raikkonen finished 37th at Watkins Glen International after wrecking out of the 90-lap race early.

Marks hinted that there are some announcements forthcoming regarding its Project91 team for 2023. He stated last summer that he hopes to run the No. 91 entry in six to eight races, depending on how many ride-buyers he can find.
